Since the renovated Lady Demon Diamond opened before the 2013 season, Northwestern State softball has felt right at home. Over the past four seasons, the Lady Demons have pasted a 68-35 record at home, including a 45-25 record in Southland Conference play. NSU won the SLC Tournament in its friendly confines, and the Lady Demons rarely lose a home series. The 1,000-seat stadium as a distance of 196 feet to its left- and right-field foul poles and 218 feet to center field.
In Nov. 2012, The Diamond under went a $466,000 renovation including the construction of a partially covered grandstand featuring chairback seating. A new press box and concession stand were built. That initiative was the latest in a series of facility improvements that included new Outfield Club seating, a refurbished club house and locker room, a new ticket booth, a new entrance, an a outfield fence, backstop and netting.
